A powerful senryu, Paul. On a visit to Arlington National Cemetery, I was struck by the uniform lines of headstones that appeared to go on endlessly. There was a ceremony at the tomb of the unknown that would bring tears to anyone's eyes. Outstanding writing, my friend. Love, Carolyn

Will closure ever come? You can understand sacrifice for country, but senseless ways in which the innocent suffer...who can have closure for that? Love poem, dear. Meaningful and deep. Hugs

For many, closure, unfortunately, will never come. But they live in hope, a lifeline which keeps their head above the waves. Hugs // paul

H, Paul. I wrote a poem some time back similar to this. It is entitled Casualties of War. This is so powerful. So much said with so few words. Sincerely, Elaine
