C O M M E N T I N G - Sally Eslinger's Blog

(My 1st try here was eaten, so a 2nd go means more abbrieviated)  Creative efforts want their works presented to others, with the hope of getting some reactions, responses.  Energy is put into making art of all different genres -- from dancing, singing, acting, composing, to painting, designing, delivering a sermon, directing or producing, exhibiting, cuisiniers.

works are made to entertain or impact or affect, even impress.  Works are made for an audiene (from one to general public), and most likely every single creator involved in the process likes to have some comment about the work that's been presented.

Critiqes may become a kind of extended editing.  Praise and applause of course give support and strength in both obvious and the future's unknown ways.

we have joined the Community of PoetrySOUP to share our own creatuve work.  SHARE   and to read, appreciate, be inspired by the work of other poets.  Many of us have formed deep feelings of friendship; have found being part of this community duspels feeling Alone.  
Many know that I make an effort to commeny on the poems I read.  I like to note the best points in what I read, because (more than commenting on the poet), for me, poems are living and meeting them deserves a stated response.  I do not speak of or approve of a "like button" to click.  I think a poem evokes response in most all cases.  It helps poets as well ss readers to state or explain our reactions.  I also think it helps the art of poetry itself.  Of course, it goes without saying, that PSp's policy of staying positive is the only way to be here, or out there in our time.  I hope we can be more sharing as the audience to one another.
