Darkness

Deadly acts of genocide
where was life
now only rubble and dust
the sky a silent witness
to horrible crimes
a mothers tears
a child wrapped
in white cloth of shrouds
hearts that can no longer cry
we sit helpless
waiting to die

This touched my heart. It's so awful that we can't even begin to understand that magnitude of suffering. Thank you for speaking up.
