I've been penning traditional style verse, rhyming poetry, for 58 years now. That's right...I'm OLD! Born and raised in the Midwest, most of what I have to offer clearly reflects the lifestyle of a native 1950 - 1970s Iowa boy. My wife, Connie, and I currently live in Tiffin, Iowa.

Having for so long been a very busy poet, and having cut my teeth on the likes of Byron, Frost and Poe, I've always enjoyed the challenge of composing pieces that are finely metered, built with honest rhyme, and, for the most part, are "meaningful". I've been accused of being a philosopher more than once, and see no point in disputing it.

Conceptually, I've long composed pieces addressing as many subjects as possible, ranging all the way from the corny, good-for-a-laugh sort to the just-might-make-you cry type. That's why I've entitled my 4 new AUDIO-CDs  - "Something For Everyone".

Each of my 4 CDs has 62 poems, lasting a whoping 4 1/2 hours/CD! (MP3 format). They're available on my author site at:   https://writerofbooks.com,  and even on ebay by searching  "Mark Stellinga Poetry". There are normally a few samples of my work on Facebook (at:  "MarknConnie"), and several directly on YouTube, again, under  "Mark Stellinga Poetry". Or feel free to email me at:  mark@writerofbooks.com.

 I hope you'll take a look...
