Are We Are

Beside the breathless petting,
love is a wonder timeless --
in loin with club
I can see the pounding extended
fierce yet open ended
room for tenderness and caring
beyond the physical sharing

touch is a mystery overbearing

the feel of a lively other

all not silk

also sandpaper

we rub the nature raw

finding depth as we soar

meet me in the Rapture

both near and mystically afar

together we travel

only when magnetically entangled

are we are --

I enjoyed the fluidity of your poem, Joe. Your poem was both sensual and tender. I especially liked "touch is a mystery overbearing." Well written, Joe...wishing you a splendid evening, Sara
