Devotion Series Poem, a Heart That Loves

A HEART THAT LOVES A heart that loves Is captivated by a pink sunrise, Which sings Out from the cover of the violet- Black lace of night tatted In the same patterns as angels’ wings. The heart that loves Will not stay still, But composes its notes to float Across spaces, seeking to help , Comfort the needing, waiting places, Like those other hearts broken in pieces. Within the heart that loves, The wells of pain and bliss reach Deeply down to hidden, and running springs Where smiles multiply and tears speak, Where the found lyrics are the same As those that the rocks cry out. Hearts that love draw grace from heaven… Don the music of all nature’# growing Life vining across every land and Throughout every sea — to embrace, to express The mysterious truth of love’s insistent, Countless, sacrificial and devoted ways. Hearts of love remain — One way or another, not alone, nor silent… Going forth to journey the by-ways Of the commonplace or even the impossible, Meaning to link, heart to heart, The deepest well-springs of devotion. ————————————————————————————————————————- (A Devotion Series Poem) (c) sally young eslinger / 11/5 /2022 Thanks be to God…

I Victor! Dear one, good evening. The sOul speaks to God. I reckon the heart communicates better with God than my mouth or my thoughts. It is my habit in prayer to lie still and ask God to Reas my heart, in Jesus’ name., big hugs.

Wow, Seeker, so Aha you wrote that! I set down the beginning, but as I kept on, I thought clearly, “This feels like my soul is writing this (its 2nd poem)& I’m taking dictation. My soul’s 1st was, “warning words from my sou,” that came as I had some suicidal thought, but that poem put a stop to that. Thanks for your dear words xoxo sally
