Everything Is Gonna Be Alright

*** Everything’s Gonna Be Alright ***

Life —
In the slowing 
Dance of age with illness —
Speaks in lingering, flowing
Lines

With the horrid smell of blood
(despite doctors all
    saying, “Bleeding is good.”)

It reeks
Nonetheless
Of death’s bleak nearness ~
Yet
I ever sense

Whence
Our Lord keeps me

Through all these
Could    be
Might    be seen 
  As trials, battles, 
   Weak times, strains and
   Sufferings

For His holy I-AM 
As designed and 
worthy
Reasons.  Unseen.
Still…

Holding me
Faithfully

   In iHis keeping
and

   My believing…
