Excellent start, Sally, and an excellent topic for a poem. The (Phantom pain) may not be physically real, but it is certainly mentally and emotionally real. I look forward to your full poem on this subject. Write On! A poet friend in Texas, Bill

Such hard things, dementia, blindness and the things also like what you are now going through. Your prelude is magnificent.

Ouch! Dementia in my family -- a pall hanging over my spirit often. Another reason why I force myself to read and write. I hear ya! You have the courage already, praying you strength. Blessings my friend.

Dear sally, its so good to see you post here and as always a poem that comes from a deep place: Ah thats so soul stirring dear sally. Phantom pain something that is hard to put in words, although the pain is so very intense. And dementia an illness that is so difficult and challenging to deal with too: iv seen some loved ones go through alzheimers which isnt dementia but also is as challenging: i hope you are doing well and not in much pain. Sending you light always.
