One Heartbeat Away

Stars, twinkling like fireflies, senses, Even my heart’s best defenses Can’t prevent the feelings flowing, One heartbeat away, rhythms growing… Moonlight, whispers pearlescent charm, Professing gentle who shan’t harm. Wonder that is always glowing, One heartbeat away, rhythms growing… Celestial nights, sleepless delights Soundless psalms carrying insights. Words can’t tell the love we’re showing, One heartbeat away, rhythms growing… Skies trembling with the song of life, Hope unspeakable ends all strife. Dazzling twilights are mind-blowing, One heartbeat away, rhythms growing… Yes! My spirit seeks amazing, Beyond the clouds, ever praising… God is honestly all-knowing! One heartbeat away, rhythms growing…

a beautifully constructed Kyrielle. I love this form but have only written one poem with that format. Yours is exquisite in imagery and rhyme...smooth and gracious words and messages, dear Gina. I especially liked the last line! Well said. Have a pleasant day, hugs & blessings, Sara
