Welcome to my page!

I am a man of many interests - TOO many, I think, lol - and because of that I never gave writing the attention I should have when I was young. I started writing poetry in December of 2016, and joined Poetry Soup at the same time. I am currently working on an R&B/Soul album for a major label, so, as has usually been the case, poetry does not get the time I'd like to give it, (though I plan to change that in the future, and write a book-or-two, a sci-fi novel and an autobiography) ...

I like to incorporate classic styles and phrasing into a modern frame when I write poetry, and try to cover a wide range of genres, but I enjoy the darkly sensual the most, despite its limited audience. I hope you'll give my rather unusual style a chance, read a piece-or-two, and leave a comment, if you'd be so kind. ** The results have been fixed and are now up in the proper location at the link below ... I have discovered that if you make the placements and go directly to "Finalize", without clicking on "Update" first, the results will not post. As I've said before, I am the least imperfect person I know, and try to do things like this on a regular basis to prove that point. Thank you for your patience and understanding - I DO apologize. Lesson learned! ;o) **

Greg, I wish I could help you fix this. There's no need since you've listed the winners here. Congratulations to them all!:-) Too bad the thread where I explained the step-by-step instructions how to do so is long gone now! Unfinalize your contest and go through everything with a fine-tooth comb. You forgot to do something.

I figured it out, Sir Edward - I did NOT click on "Update" but went directly to "Finalize", assuming that would update by default - lesson learned!

Admins replied saying I didn't choose placements, which I DID, and because it didn't post I went back, un-finalized, and chose them AGAIN! Still didn't work. I checked everything else twice as well. I always do everything on paper, too, so thankfully I have hard copies. Thanks, Brother.

by the way, Greg. Your contest says "winners not chosen" and yet I got my announcment in my email box. Also, I just saw Craig's entry with a trophy next to it at his poetry page, so it WAS counted; otherwise, how could a trophy be assigned to him? That glitch is so weird!!!

I noticed that, to, Andrea , so I'm thinking people DID get credit for placements. When I finalized it DID say that "ten emails have sucessfully been sent", so I knew folks had been informed, that's why I was so surprised to see the results missing. Weird glitch. I checked every stage before the second finalization, thinking maybe I'd missed something, but I hadn't - it was all ok on my end. Something in the system. Odd.
