A Candid Rainscape

I watch the water trickle down my blank canvas, The whole world is crying today... Nature has water-washed the Earth green, The land looks fresh, as if awakened by a magic touch, I trace the cold mist with my fingertips, as the dark clouds are drawn towards the half bright sun... Raindrops jump and splash in brand new muddy puddles. Lilies look lovelier and jasmines jive joyfully, Daisies wear dewy dimples, even as the merry marigolds seem to melt... And on that faraway mountain, in a summer cottage, those roses blush redder when the rain kisses them. My eyes glisten and my lips spread in a smile, while I brush away those few drops left to complete my candid dreamscape... 06/29/17

Today is a misty, cloudy grey day, Jo. I enjoyed reading this so much, contemplating nature washing the earth as the world cries. Your dreamscape is filled with hope, a subject I cherish in poetry. Beautiful. Enjoy your day ~ John

Very beautiful poem, Jo. Your way w/words is phenomenal. This coulda easily been an Alliteration form poem. It moves w/vivaciousness and charm. Great lines throughout ... lilies look lovelier and jasmines jive joyfully ... daisies wear dewy dimples, even as the merry marigolds seem to melt. Stellar bright poetry from such a gifted poetess. An instant fave. Love and smiles.

Jo, this was enchantingly beautiful. You have captured the essence of nature with all of its colors and charm in this wonderful piece. Now didn't you just a little while ago tell Darren that you were struggling to write too???? I think not, this poem is proof of that.
