Freedom Is Written In Stars and Moon

He laughs; when he does, his face opens his eyes beam like moon and stars In the silence of his voice no words exist but the soft hum of an almost forgotten song In the enclosed world of his room he opens up a huge universe he creates with letters found in his new life forming images that did not exist before In the physical restraints his freedom grows for true freedom lives inside nowhere else nothing free exists in his world except inner freedom Not ever was anyone capable of taking that away and no one ever will be able to He laughs in the knowledge that his freedom is written in stars and moon. *** March 10, 2017 Copyright © Darren White

AMEN!! Why did I choose this one next after your Lost Childhood?? It is the expression of your ultimate victory and the power that kept you alive ... this is the secret to happiness that so many people take for granted! We are NOT free except within our minds, and NO one can take that away ... oh, and what a world it can be, limited ONLY by our imaginations! This is so awesome ... I adore it! :-D <3

Moving and beautiful write Darren! A 7 and a thank you! Reminds me of one of my favourite songs: "Whole of the Moon" by The Waterboys, too that our mind can be our freedom or our prison, your poem speaks to this truth. Hugs mo!

I love the words 'for true freedom lives inside'...as something of an introvert, this sums up how I feel. For some, being out on the hills makes them feel free. For me, close the door to the outside world, open up my notebook...now I feel free.

Exactly. Or if someone will take me to the beach at night, that works for me too, in the dark, with moon and stars. But indeed, true freedom is for me inner freedom.

This was fantastic my friend, there is a sense of feeling and accomplishment, of facing forward and not giving up, that really hits home in this. I really enjoyed this a lot.

I agree with you. It has a good ending doesn't it :) But it is true too. For me that's what it is, when I wheel myself to that beach at night, it gives such a sense of peace and freedom, it's hard to put into words. Thank you my friend.

Morning Darren. To this I say wowser. That's right wowser. I know its not a word but it is for me and for your most beautiful entry and attached image that you share. The saying of years ago from Cinderella of "In my own little corner in my own little chair I can be whatever I want to be. On the wings of my fancy I can fly anywhere and the world will open its arms to me." Your entry is marvelous and the stars and moon shall always be such freedom and a helping hand. I love the word wowser, it's a lovely word. It's a true thing, that moon in full cycle. That freedom inside no one can touch, whatever happens. It's a thought of comfort Lisa :) Thank you so much for your always encouraging words.
