White Rainbows

Sprinklers arc white rainbows over emerald grass The jets burst in nimbus shadows geysering a shimmer of translucent flurries under opal rays Pools of periwinkle ripple and fountains of lavender sway in a porcelain mist 10th Place Summer Solstice Premier Contest Sponsor: Brian Strand 6/29/17

I agree w/the other talented poetesses/poets, Dale ... such a delightful spray of images evoked by your fountain pen. Wonderful poem, made me feel clean all over. Love and more love to you and yours.

Thanks, Andrea! It's too bad I can only water the lawn three days a week at this time of year. And only for fifteen minutes! When winter comes it's only one day a week.

You take the ordinary, the everyday things we see but perhaps don't notice enough and create beautiful poetic mosaics that bring them all into focus. I love this gazing at the prism created by the sun hitting the water from a sprinkler. Very cool.

Thanks, Jan. I just ran them this morning. I've been thinking for a while about how to describe the scene.
