Harvest Beckons

When fall’s chill fingers clasp the edge of dawn
to peel hot summer’s languid days away
the call of harvest beckons, whereupon
it yields rich crops in bountiful array.

Your gorgeous imagery dances with beautiful rhythm, Laura. I love the way your poem captures the change of season, chilly morns and the bounty of Fall - my favorite time of the year. I am ever enchanted by the wondrous ink you spill. Best wishes for a win and warmest wishes for you, dear poetess.. ~Susan
