Rainless Clouds

Rainless clouds are drifting by As I stand in solitude, There in the dark deep grey sky, They mirror my somber mood; As I stand in solitude, Sunless clouds are feeling dry, They mirror my somber mood, As they go past with a sigh; Sunless clouds are feeling dry, And they are doing no good, As they go past with a sigh, Leaving me alone to brood; And they are doing no good, There in the dark deep grey sky, Leaving me alone to brood, Rainless clouds are drifting by.

Lovely example of the form, Jo. Has a definitely depth and sadness to it... hope the clouds soon part to bathe you in Sol's light! Regards, John.

Great poem with a nice picture to go with it. Your trying rain-less clouds with your somber mood hits the right note.

Darkness and solitude can easily put us in a somber mood, Jo! Your rainless clouds have served their purpose...even without water, a lovely poem has sprouted! Regards // paul

Brava Jo! This form can read so tedious and boring if it is not done right. That is why I never write them. : ) You didn't excellent job on this. 7

I understand . It is another gray, overcast morning here. I hope you see the sun soon :)
