Comment on the poetry of others and they will comment on the reply button
on the left hand side of your comment box

I don't know if you noticed how tasteless the soup has gotten.

I don't mind poets leaving a reply, on my comment when stopping by their page.

But, come on poets. Let's get for reals!

It takes the fun out of poets taking that extra step -Click on our POEMS to give thank.

Soup All You Did Was Take From Us.....

The new features have nothing to do with poetry.

You turned our poems into a chat room.

I for one am tired of getting a notification through my e-mails,

For every movement on the soup.

All of you might like the reply button.

But, remember. You probably had more poets taking their time

In reading your poetry out of gratification in the past.

If you want to be in denial, by convincing yourself everything is better by

Replying to a poet through your own poem, and you'd rather have a reply

on your comment then you POEM.

Then you must be a VEGGIE...

What happen to doing things the old way?
SOUP MAIL and Comment on the poetry of others and they will comment on yours.

Poets, you can't deny you are getting more notifications from replies than comments.

I beg to differ though I understand where you are coming from that is people not using the feature for its intended purpose. not soups fault people is dum. so blame dum people for being lazy or what not and abusing the feature for something other then its intended purpose

I think you may be misinterpreting why some people like the feature. I know for me responding to a comment is a matter of appreciation. I also spend a great deal of time reading and commenting on others work. I can see by your comments that you are passionate about this topic and you do make some excellent points. It is important however to not paint all with the same brush.

Yes ive noticed but never said anything, just because im not a member, but since you brought it up i find most good hearted people do reply and i like to call these my regulars becsuse you can count on a response, the other side of the coin for me is when my job takes me away for 80 days its kinda hard to respond with no signal, For that i wish to apologise to anyone who feels slighted by me, hopefully as friendships grow here, people will find this a most awesome site to blong to, great blog Linda, blessings, Carl

I agree with Joseph.... I'm doing this, cause I noticed, how many of the poets I use to read are getting less comments, due to all the comment activity is going on the reply button. :)

Dear TPS- The reply to comments is not a feature we need. ---I see why others don't understand where I am coming from, HATE can blind even the smartest enemy. It is not about how many followers we have. It's about how messy our poems and my, E-MAIL BOX looks. Like I said, this has nothing to do with poetry.

WHY THIS MATTERS??? First -- I enjoy getting e-mail notifications everytime I receive a comment. However, now I'm getting SPAMED - #1. Every time a poet comments my poems :-) #2. Every time a poet replies to a comment I left on his/her page. #3. Every time I receive on a comment blog. #4 everytime someone replies to a comment on my blog :( #5. Every time I get a Soup Mail.

Update: I stopped by my latest poem SUN DANCE, I stopped in to comment almost every comment on my page. After I was done my views jumped to 415 :) :) Only cause I like being honest, I'm mentioning this. The soup should also filter our poems, and not allow our visits to count at all.
