Colleen Bono Poet Free verse

Darkness

I once wished upon a star, 
I watched it all night long
Thinking about the things in life
and where it went so wrong.

Under the darkness of the sky,
it's hard to find my way,
My star, my hope is fading fast,
Wondering if I will see another day.

I wake up every morning, hoping the pain will cease,
if things keep going the way they are,
I will ask God for final peace.

I think that is why I seek the light... and hoping and wishing is all I can do. I'm glad this is an old poem,,, long ago emotions... enjoyed~ LINDA
