Bleeding Love

Introducing: Jan Allison & Poet Destroyer

Pierced by shards of shattered glass
Deeper and deeper you stab me
With lies and venomous words
Dissecting my heart piece by piece
Crushed like the petals of a withered rose
I’m dying …
Scarlet blood seeps into my very soul
    Drip
       Drip
          Drip
Into pieces and a bloody mess
I sacrificed secrets;
Secrets you tore and tore,
Gracing a fake friendship,
Trust tossed like a sweaty towel
Now karma a poisonous snake
You plea ...
To be on death row, decomposing
Dripping into the night -- Silently
fading and fading
Stung by my viper lips,
     smiling
        grinning
           laughing
Until you are no more

A stunning write of the dramatic depths a dark heart will spew into and on to, a gentle, unsuspecting, heart. Incredible grit combined with pure, evocative imagery makes the realism leap off the page. That you co-wrote this, is remarkable, as it is seamless and the layering of key words adds that extra level of wickedness. Terrific writing - gotta love karma! blessings, lynn

I really like your poem. Flickering hope of nothing to gain, From people playing a game. Believing yesterday's promises, Surely adds to tomorrow`s pain. You have a wonderful way with words. I love your work. ~E

Hi Linda, looks as if you have sealed this write with Jan. So sad that blood from a heart's wounds can be made to drip when Love should be so gentle it does not hurt. It shows Love has two heads and it depends on the Lover's the head that is finally shown. We all show Love in our own way. Sometimes it is Love for one and lust for another. Your words show us the darker side of Love and you both write it so well. A seven and into my faves. An excellent write ladies....Vlad.

BRAVO you two! Blistering images and greater than powerful phrasing. If I could come up with the words I'd use 'em. This is to me like the playing of John Coltrane in his later years... inexpressible! Keith

Black Beards ship will be be sailing in the under currents of the deepest part of the ocean the baring straights, within it's deepest trenches, just waiting for another ship to dare and come near to his haunting after dead haunting grounds beneath the briny deep, sorry I've been thinking about this all day, cheri

When a true loving heart is pierced by one with a blade of deep bad sensational silent Passion, after that...then on the karma a poisonous snake may bud pellucid feed back. A beautiful expression of sensational passion of victimized heart beautifully adorned with acute matching colors. Loved always, my lovely *friend,bl
