The Squirrel

Listen to poem:
~My Nutty Squirrel Poem~

Up in a tree, on a branch
Now you see me, now you don't!

Sneaky and fast, I'm adorable
Now, why would you hunt or shot me for fun?
Do you like, how fast I run?
I'm not just another chipmunk
Stuffing my face with nuts,
I'm classy and beautiful,
The best part of nature.....

Red pointed ears, I hear you drawing near.
Chuckle, chuckle, caffeine free
I saw you looking at my fine coat.
Fluffy and curious, touch me and I'm Calling PETA!
See YA--- Life Is Beautiful!!!
I'm stuffing these nuts back into my mouth
and Jumping onto another tree :) The End
Love The Squirrel from another World.

Linda, the recording reminds me of the old "Chip and Dale" cartoons...although they were chipmunks and not squirrels. It's very creative. I have the pleasure of being able to watch neighborhood squirrels from my living room window from time to time. No nut trees here, though, so I don't know what provender they can be gathering, but they all look fat and sassy.

I appreciate your appreciation of squirrels. Many have suggested I'm a bit squirrely but most just think I'm nuts. It's good to see you're back. Let's see some more "star" quality materials listed here. oldbuck

I've a backyard tree full of them. They're everything you say they are. I love to give them English walnuts at holiday times - how they manage to stuff the huge nuts into such tiny mouths. Love, Daver

This was cute and playful. A definite smile inducing piece of art. I have a pecan grove on my property and more of these little furry creatures than you can count. I love to watch them jump from tree to tree. I often stand there thinking, "I wish I could do that" Really nice Linda
