JEWELS OF OCTELLE SHINE ...APPLAUSE !

i had a wonderful time relishing all of your stunning poems written in octelle form... even if you were just attempting an octelle for the first time, it seemed as if you were all masters of this one.

i was particularly drawn to those which were of a different voice, or what seemed unique or well-crafted, considering this kind of poetry has few lines and repeated schemes.

carrie richards went for a novel approach that likened the theme to some kind of floral arrangement... “Harvest Moon Looming” was a delightful attempt at the
sublime style; while yasmin khan delivered a metallic feel to her work, combined with soft glow of emotion.

craig cornish whipped up a lustrous display of the psyche’s alchemy , then, “ Star Dust In Your Eyes” assembled cryptic yet expressive sways of juxtapositions.. eileen ghali’s work was tactile as if it were written with her six senses...

and imagine the impact of stardust in coffe as and dovetailing this with the mystery of beauty the way richard lamoureux did with some restraint.

the rest of the awardees leaned toward novel approaches, some veering from
free-association to experimental angles...enticing!

needless to say, all participants were winners in myheart though we needed to follow the form’s requirements and my criteria for judging...

thank you to all who responded to my soupy mail and for your support of this memorable contest.

though repetitve phrases and slight errors were perhaps overlooked, special accolades go to Andrea Dietrich and Connie Gildersleeve for their distinct contributions as well... applause!

you all brought stardust in my heart!... thanks once more...until next, which is now, do hop in and join my new contest! see you there...

Nette!!! Thanks ever so much for this opportunity to try a new form....I thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, thank you for mentioning me in your comments above. :) I'm honored and flattered beyond description. I do remember you mentioning in the rules that there needed to be personification, and I tried to stick to that...that might have been what gave it that tactile feel. :) <3 Congrats to all the winners......HUGSSSSSS
