Notes About The Poem

speakeasy | White photography, Walking in the rain, Black and white

Evanescing

Though hued October canopies the earth
I picture you in shadows without mirth
A forlorn gaze nestling on the threadbare wind
While my eyes reflect time which can’t appease
This burst of anguish on one ghastly day.
Beyond pathways, our fervor's demise ends
When lucent nights once imbued harmony:
Yet I roam with you before morn unfolds

Leaving me nameless in kohl of despair.

Captivating emotions you painted here, Nette--fading into umbra of tears. The ending says it all....your silhouette dips...my breath fails to rise...
