this might sound crazy, lol!...it's storming here and classes are suspended on all levels in school.. as i write this, i'm tucked in old jammies and a gray thermal sweater, not to mention a hair clipped like a meshed bun... this is unthinkable for one who lives in a tropical country!.. did i mention the striped socks which are wrapping my feet now?

today, i am the anti-thesis of glamour and haute couture... locked in the library, it scares me to think that the paparazzi are around to take my pic and defame my reputation, or whatever is left of it, hahaha!

i know it's summer in most parts of the world, sweet soupers.. really now, what are you wearing at the moment while staring at the screen??... no matter the weather, i'm still wearing a smile!...

hugggs!

Hallo Nette If you have not washed away in the floods in Manila, will you please give an update and a clarity regarding your "Wreath" competition. None of the other entrants which I have read so far, comply with the accepted description and definition of the poem (some learned discussions on the topic may be found on the internet). I have tried to "defend" my poems, Dusk, and Dusk Smiles on the actual site here. I do not feel that it is my place to define the shape poem (for that is what it is): [PDF] "Straight as a Line": Simplicity in George Herbert's "A Wreath" digitalcommons.mcmaster.ca/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=8240... Thank you for a very exciting competition and I have learned...

@Andrea: No, it is because we have the merging of the cold Atlantic Current and the warm Benguala Current at Cape Point. It makes for extreme weather and stormy seas (as little as minus 17 Celcius in winter, to 42 Celcius in summer - air temp) South Africa's climate varies from sub-tropical (in Kwa-Zulu Natal on the east coast) to the oldest dessert in the world, nl Namib Dessert.... In Cape Town, we have Mediterranean climate. Thank you for asking. love, Su

Suzette, I did not know Cape of Storms was also Cape Town. Gosh, I just figured South Africa was always warm!! Is it because you are at the very bottom close to the south pole or something like that??

@Andrea (and anyone else) who wonders where in the world I live: I live 50 km outside Cape Town, South Africa (you may Google my name :-)....) One of the many names for Cape Town = The Cape of Storms, and believe you me: when you see the sea currents snapping an oil tanker in halve, you will understand the force of nature. It has warmed up somewhat today = 10 degrees Celcius. Love, Suzette

I'm wearing my comfie cotton pj's. I keep the ac running about 68 degrees at night so I have to wear warm pj's and socks to bed. I love to snuggle, and I can't when I'm hot! My ac runs constantly in summer.

Just taking a peek between my work-out and a shower, so I am still in a sweat soaked tee-shirt and blue gym shorts with a towel draped over my head. Shoe and socks have been removed and stinking up the laundry room. Just be glad that I didn't wait until after the shower for a quick look or I would be wearing the same thing as Iolanda and Rachel - and I bet it looks MUCH better on (or off) them!! ;-)

what a cute blog!!!I am wearing tight black stretch jeans with a nearly sleeveless long shirt-top . It's black and is covered in small white stars with one big sparkling star in the center. My hair is held up with a comb on each side so I can sport my new long black feather earrings. It was supposed to be sports activity day but our director of that activity got sick and I stayed inside the school! You are funny what you are wearing.

Wrapped up in winter woolies :-) It snowed this afternoon on the mountain range near my home. It is winter here now, so it is to be expected. August is our month of storms (Hence the name: Cape of Storms). Keep warm. Love, Suzette
