gosh, i am at a total loss for words here… these were some
terribly marvelous poems, since in my opinion, they all deserved trophies... thank
you all for entering the contest; most of you favored heavy metal
interpretations ( a surprise for me)…   you all did so well ( applause!), but  if i placed all , i would have to list the entire contest entries... again, we needed to follow rules…

...giorgio v. and jake ponce ranked highest for substance ,
flow , and  the element of mythical allusion that really caught my attention…

...leon datu and carrie richards leaned towards fluidity of thought and overall impact of their poems…

...likewise,  rhonda Johnson–saunders, andrea dietrich and charmaine chircop  brought the roof down with their distinct ‘angularities’ from rustic to passionate tones..

the other winners grabbed me with their semi- abstract, dramatic, and edgy interpretations of the genres of music provided…

... it was a pleasure to see newcomers on my page ( carly lalion, kelly deschler, jake p.,
leon d., dr. urma sharpa) battling like gladiators in the poetic arena …

...allow me to include peter duggan’s contribution: his work went
a few lines over the line limit but the ‘reaching-for-the-heart’  impressions could not be dismissed!

and if I’m smiling now, it because you  all made me so… thanks again!

my new  GIG  is now on the contest marquee.. I bet this one
will keep your muse awake… it’s just a 6-line poetry challenge but …

well, take a look and be inspired!... do drop by, yes?

Great big congrats to all your winners Nette!!Some awe-inspiring poems for sure! Wish I would have entered but I couldn't seem to get something written for itHopefully I can for your next contest dear Nette !

Hi, Nette! Thank you very much for the placement in your contest! I, too am surprised that heavy metal was the most popular theme. I thought that I might have been the only one to choose that! I really enjoyed writing for this contest. Congratulations to all of the winners! :)

right you are, kelly.. there were only 5 entries for rock and roll, 7 for jazz, 8 for country/ western.. unbelievable; i thought jazz would be the popular choice:) hugggs
