Sometimes life happens doesn't it..

My husband is scheduled for total hip joint replacement on Tuesday, September 19, 2017..He has had problems for about a year and when he first went to the doctor he gave him a steriod injection which helped some and he was able to go on for a long time but now he is having constant pain..

I will be involved in helping in whatever way I can during the next 6 weeks to get him back up and going..Then he will rest a week or two and get the other hip done so he plans..I don't know if he will after he goes through the first one..The doctor showed us what they would be doing and it is going to hurt and it will hurt for a long time because it will involve routing out bone and driving metal into the bone..I know that is going to hurt..

We will need your prayers..I will need to them to be able to hold up through it and he will need them for healing..Thank you ahead of time for praying..

Hurricane Irma..We were blessed during the storm because we did not get very much damage and the power was only out four hours..The winds here were somewhere around 40 to 45 miles an hour but just a few minutes to our East the winds there were 61 miles an hour..We have a few trees down on our property but close to our home we only had one or two large limbs, many small twig like limbs and thousands of shredded oak leaves stuck to everything..Some people here are still without power but it is slowly being restored..Considering the damage everywhere else it was like God placed a shield around our home..We have very large oak trees surround our home and any one of them could have come down and it would have been a tradegy..

About my contest, I am getting entries that have no relationship to the forms I asked to be submitted nor about the topic of my contest..Those that are not on theme nor a sonnet or a what I call Poulter's Measure will be disqualified in the first round..Please read the contest rules..I would like to see your work in the winners' circle..

Thank you for all of your encouragement over the years and all of the comments..For reading some poor quality poetry of mine..LOL..You have encouraged me when it was pitiful..

Eve, That is wonderful that God took care of you..I know that you are very thankful..I am sure that you did what you could to help your neighbor..We gave some monetary gifts to the victims of those out in Texas since we could not help and I am sure that we will donate again to help those effected by Irma..Sara

Sara, prayers for your husband and a speedy recovery. So happy to hear you survived Irma, and about your contest, it happens to me also, I get poems so off in my contest and hsve to wonder why, I just na them and move on, sigh!

Sara I hope your husband makes a speedy recovery. I have heard of a product called Curcumin made out of Turmeric, It does wonders reduces pain and inflammation.

Michael, Yes, there are many homepathic meds that do help but his joints are completely gone and partly frozen up so he is totally stiff in this area..If he could have do the homepathic at the beginning it would have helped but it is too late now..Thanks for dropping by..Sara
