James, Your father(earthly) has a great source of energy. I think men hold up much better than women to some extent. I know you are proud to be his son. Thanks for the encouraging words. My husband is very much the same in that he is still going and going. I still know that our days are numbered even though we never know who will go first. It could the youngest and not the oldest. Thanks for dropping by. Sara K

Your image and shape of your poem were excellent, Sara. We're about the same age, my friend, and have some of the same thoughts I see. Smiles ~ Blessings Bill

Thank you, Bill, for the high praise. Yes, we are probably about the same age and when a person gets this old on occasion, we do think about life and what ifs. Sara K

loved this 'shape' poem and the evocative ponderings within your words. I especially liked: I can not calculate My time left here upon earth I can no longer do very Much, has all my sand run down and out I have similar feelings at times. Well done Sara K...hugs, Sara B

This is a very evocative poem, dear Sara..You've so beautifully captured a vivid essence where the truth of our life purpose is brought to the surface and compels the readers to dive into those emotions. Nothing is actually in our hands, all we can do, is to follow those stars aligned by God and try to make every moment, worthy of living. Though sometimes, we may question if we are doing enough, but that's all life is about..Sending you many best wishes, may you create many cherishable moments.

Why, thank you, Hiya. I think we all question life at times and wonder if we did all we could do and were all we could be. I do think God has us where we should be if we are His child. As the Bible says, all things work together for good for them who love God and are called according to His purpose. Sara K
