Notes About The Poem

Pale Blue

Pale blue silk flung across heaven Faint goldenrod in the east North wind blows its mighty power The heat pump hums to say the least Upon a cold winter morning Thinking what love should be I can't remember those loving Moments, they've disappeared from me Once again to be touched lightly To be told I'm loved in Special ways, if only for a second Each and every day Unforced reminders of your love That flows from thoughts of when__ Once our love was young, unhurried. Remember way back then

Why, thank you, Howard. Sometimes we can feel unloved for one reason or another. This happened to be one of those moments in time. 👍. Sara K.

Sara, such a pensive poem in shades of "pale blue." Wonderful image - the vibrancy of first love fading into pale blues. Nice play on words. The emotions in this poem are so well expressed. Sending you blessings and prayers.

Fleeting memories of times gone by, with much happening to cloud them. I could so relate to your superb thoughts in this poem Sara. Its lovely, I read it twice, because I have had so very many thoughts on this subject, just the same as yours. You wrote it beautifully. Many best wishes.

Nostalgic and so tender. Somewhere along the way, sometimes the magic of love is lost, I wonder why …

US, sometimes life engulfs us and we don't take the time that is needed to keep the embers burning. Also, at a certain point in life the physical part of our make-up(hormones) changes because of aging. Thanks for dropping by. Sara K

Dear Sara, A wonderful reflection on love, longing, and the passage of time. You show winter’s chill juxtaposed with the warmth of affection and reminiscence. The longing for tender moments and unforced love shows us of the beauty and fragility of human connection. Your words capture the essence of yearning for love’s gentle touch, even amidst life’s complexities. Your heartfelt verses evoke many emotions. Excellent, Sara, in many ways! - Blessings, Daniel

The longing for love and the memories of a past love that seem to have faded away, and the desire to be reminded of it in small, unforced ways, Sara. Your vivid imagery to describe the winter morning, such as "pale blue silk flung across heaven" is so well depicted.
