In the early spring, the red sun rises
A warning to sailors of storms on the horizon
Cold mornings greet us with a shiver
But warm afternoons embrace us with a kiss
Different hues of green paint the landscape
As nature awakens from its winter slumber
Dogwoods bloom in shades of white and pink
A delicate dance of beauty unfolding
Star magnolia’s foliage once dotted with white
Mostly its beauty has on the ground landed
Months will pass before it again brings delight
When another first spring day comes so bright
The changing seasons bring a sense of renewal
A reminder of the cycles of life and growth
In this transition from winter to spring
We find hope in the promise of new beginnings.
