Notes About The Poem

The Garden

"I come to the garden alone" He is here in this quiet place "He speaks and the sound of His voice" Offers peace, hope in my space "While the dew is still on the roses" "I come to the garden alone" The bird in the tree still doses These moments with Him best known "I'd stay in the garden with Him" Though life to me is calling, tomorrow "I come to the garden alone" Again, how I want to go slow "And He tells me I am His own" His assurance is my capstone Once more on this another day "I come to the garden alone"
"In The Garden" Charles A Miles, 1913

A beautiful image and a lovely poem. How I like the peace and serenity of this garden. You are indeed fortunate to commune with Him in the wee hours of the morning. I can listen to your heart singing in joy.

When people see the beautiful things in nature, like mountains, trees, and animals, it can make them feel connected to who made them. It's like a special bond between people and their Creator, Sara.

Good to know you tried out the quatern, SO. They are not so easy to write but if you did not have to include lines out of a song it would be easier. Thanks for the visit. Sara K..Yes this is my poem but with lines borrowed from the song "In The Garden".
