Image result for pictures of star magnolia and daffodils blooming in the springI am not sure if that is a star magnolia or not. Sometimes when they start to open they look pink. They usually are white with a specific bloom.

Wishing for a kaleidoscope of floral blossoms even though it is winter Spring will come ushering in warmth even yesterday one bloom A daffodil bright yellow trying to outshine the sun Star magnolia blossoms sagging from cold nights but noon sun draws them out They're caught in the middle of spring chasing winter away

I felt the warmth in your anticipatory springtime poem. We're ready here in Texas....and our daffodils are blooming as of this morning....seeing them gives me hope of the coming sprintime renewal. Enjoyed the read, Sara K. Have a splendid evening. Sara

It is a wonderful time of year if it could be minus the runny nose, itchy eyes and headaches. Thanks for the visit and your understanding, Andrea. Your visits delight me, Sara K

Normally a star magnolia is white. Still loved your poem.

Thank you, Victor, for the visit. Yes, star magnolia is usually white and I do enjoy seeing the one in my backyard each year. Its buds start to swell in November and December and begin to try to open in January. The blooms help me to think spring even though there is frost and ice in the birdbath over night. Sara K

Vijay, yes, I think most are wanting the feel of its warm touch, but it is getting better here warm afternoons if out of the wind. Thanks for the visit. Sara K

Dearest Sara, Your poem is such a beautiful snapshot of winter's grip slowly loosening its hold. I love how you mix in the desire for spring's palette of colors. The contrast between the "sagging" blossoms and the defiant daffodil trying to "outshine the sun" shows nature's struggle and resilience. The line "caught in the middle," is particularly evocative, capturing that bittersweet feeling of waiting for change while being held back by the season's linger. SPRING is Coming! - Blessings, Daniel
