Thanks to everyone who gave a suggestion on my Haiku about Princess and the flea meds..

I went on the internet and found a suggestion from a Vet which said put lots of butter on the pill..Cover it good all over then butter a piece of bread..Then place the buttered pill on the bread and the bread with pill on one's open palm..Offer this to the pet like it was a treat...She ate it..It worked this time..She just hates the flea pill Comfortis..The pill has a terrible odor which is the reason she won't take it..Putting a big amount of butter on it camouflages the scent..We have tried in the last few months unpackaging the pill to let it air out then put it in a very small piece of hot dog and that did not work..We tried putting chocolate syrup on it and she would lick off the syrup leave the pill..We tried holding her and forcing it down unsuccessful at that..So I was needing suggestions and I appreciate each one..

We are doing fairly well..My husband goes back to the doctor on Thursday..He hopes to go back to work..

I went to the orthopedic surgeon on Friday with foot pain..I have had problem with Morton's Neuroma in the past..It is a non -malignant tumor of nerve tissue..This was not the problem this time though..It was inflammation of the Metatarsal Bones..I am to rest the foot for two weeks..I don't know how that can be done but I will try..

I hope everyones next week is great and filled with much inspiration..

Maybe the rest will start one day but well I don't know when..I am putting it up when I can and letting it rest..Sara

When not resting the foot use a shoe with lots of cushy inserts. It helped me... tho it took a while. My job put me on my feet all day long. Resting is still the best. When your ready to go back on that foot make sure there's lots of cushion there, too. Loved the Flea med suggestion.

Thanks for stopping by..I will try to added padding to my shoes..The doctor said to get a walking shoe that has no flex in the toe box but that sounds so uncomfortable to me..I will try to get some though..He told me he might need to put me in one of those boots and those things look so uncomfortable..I don't want to go that way..Sara

Hi Sara, I have an English bulldog who takes 2 antibiotics each day. I give them to her in a small chunk of cheese. I call them her treats and she actually waits to go to bed until after she has had her treats each nite. Take care with your feet. I have a Morton's neuroma on my right foot. I find my orthotics help and shoes with lots of padding on soles. good luck Glad to hear your husband is doing well. take care Lee

Please no chocolate for your dog it is toxic to them..number one cause of poisoning to canines. Most dogs will take a pill if hidden in a spoonfull of peanutbutter. It will hide the smell and they love it.

oh I am glad you fooled her. These animals can be smarter than we are. I have been tryng to catch a kitty so I can take care of it. It is the one survivor of the ones that were born under my deck last spring. Something got the others. He or she is so scared it runs at first sight of me and I am trying to trap it to get it to the vet but it gets the food without tripping the trap. Joyce
