You Are A Symphony

In read a note from someone on this morning
It was written by a girl who suffered much
She spoke of how she needed her a mentor
She needed, her the feel of wisdoms touch
On looking back I’ve had my share of mentors
From mystics and from all those sacred books
Jesus, buddha, Osho, Krishnamurti
And many more, from them words I’ve took

But in the end their words mean naught at all
Although those mentors really can be cool
Just take a trip into your inner self
Much meditation it can bring you wealth
The mystics to the moon they well might point you
But then those fingers you might hold on to
The truth is always there but you must find it
And meditation it will help you quite a bit

You might go out and gaze into a flower
Or let the birdsong seep into your soul
Or listen to a new born baby crying
Let the new dawn cleanse you, make you whole
You do not need a wise man in your life time
For truth is in the very core of you
You are a dance, you are a symphony
You are that sacred child, who knows what’s true

This went to my FAV list for it says everything I meant to say, but have not said yet. Some day I am going to read all of my FAV poems and make the "maestro poem" of myself, using all the best ideas but not all the best words of other poets, for that would make me sad. This is an idea I will need to use as a backbone to my maestro poem as it is everything I believe to be true.

Thank you Caren for your kind words. I read the books of the mystics for many years and they inspired me to write as I write these days. If one feels his or heart with beauty what more can we produce but our best. I hope you come up with your Maestro poem soon. Have a wonderful weekend, my friend....peter
