Alone yet Visible

Unattached out-of-the-way. Are some of us truly
lonely?

We were once alone as a child, And we played on
Our own.

Can you handle being alone? Yet visible.

Dancing in the rain with your self can be fun, Riding 
Solo isn't always negativity. 

Self-love  comes before real love.

The butterfly, its crimson mottled wings
flitting in the delicate Autumn breeze;
uncurled proboscis taking sweet nectar
from early dawns, newly opened daisies
does not regard the corpses of the men
whose dead eyes ever stare the grass below
fresh attention-seeking meadow flowers.
Men's bodies yet unclaimed, save for ravens
who do outpace the sunshine-seeking flies
and vacillating mothers, sisters, wives
to take an early

She hides behind the world they’ve made,
A daughter’s place, a masquerade.
But in her heart, the truth burns bright,
A love she can’t let go, out of sight.

Moth wings aren’t as bright
Even when against sunlight
No one fears the butterfly 
Tears smear the maddest cry
A man is scorned for life
Let him morn let him try

Holding on to tender insides
Energy driven by his pride
Amethyst pain from his brain
Licorice lies drive him insane

love is the divine, woven bliss
like the blooming dawn

Shifting Shapes

The shift is taking shape, 
Shape shift to embrace the landscape, 
Escape from the patterns, 
Keeping you scattered.
Tattered souls losing their hold, 
Battered and bruised their hearts grow cold, 
Looking to scold, 
Sharing the load.
Hoping they won't explode, 
They drift into whole, 
Losing control, 
Falling so low, 
They have to let go.
Releasing what they know,

Too Much Is Enough

Stop
Too much
Is enough
Grief seeping through my body
Rendering me to surrender
To a time and place
Where my world came crashing down
Where I’m swimming against the tide
Fighting the darkness
Surrounded in tears
As I search in vain
Searching for signs —
A dime
A butterfly
A Blue Jay
A Cardinal
Or a glorious rainbow
Reminding me that you are still by my side
Not tangible
Just peace
Your aura follows

A Busy Bee

A busy bee browses the lavender bush
Collecting sweet nectar no doubt
Visits loads of blue flowers
Goes on round about.

Some distance away tall buddleia blooms. 
Its long purple blossoms in spikes
The butterflies love it and never give up
Its nectar is vital for life.

The soil underneath is full of life too
Worms, woodlice, and beetles and plenty of bugs.

DAILY GRATITUDE BUTTERFLIES

I am grateful for butterflies…
I adhere to the Native American point of view
that if you whisper a wish to a butterfly
there’s a good chance that wish will come true…

I’ve done this many times and I have to say…
how often I’ve been surprised…
which is great because I have a lot of wishes left…
and there are a

Every time we marvel at the beauty of the butterflies…
and a smile lights up our face
we should also marvel at all the changes
it took to get them to this place

I went to a land of little
A place of lovely smiles
Candle sticks and butter cups
Clothes of many styles

She gazed at me
With crinkled eyes
She said “you’re just a boy”
“But, I”m all of sixty four”
“So what, embrace your joy.”

Tiny hands and tiny feet
Flowing yellow hair
She flew about as fairies do
I couldn’t believe that she was there
