It was a gorgeous day for shenanigans, so the butterfly flew up high
She wanted to butter up the sun, and she knew how to really fly.
Giving the sun compliments, was one of her favorite things to do.
It kept the sun on her lilies and roses and made her feel good too.

From my Hillview home beside the Ruby Gate,
I watched the blood moon rise,
its red fire spilling across the Bay of Bengal.
The sea turned into a vast mirror of flame,
the mountains stood hushed,
their green shoulders brushed by crimson light.
Karnaphuli flowed like a molten ribbon,
carrying whispers of old songs to the shore.
Not alone on the hill,
I felt the city breathing beneath me,
yet only the moon kept me company.
Its scarlet face leaned close,
as if the heavens bent toward Chittagong.
In that hour,
I was both witness and keeper of the glow.
And with my brother Shimul by my side,
We sealed the night in memory, unforgettable and wide

A profound sense of joy enveloped her as she gently kissed his fingertips.
He began to whisper and exhaled softly.
"Captivate me with your gaze. You are my exquisite treasure.
Fulfill the wish of a man in desperate need; all I seek is your presence, you.”

The duties are paid, yet restless remain these eyes,
Without my beloved’s sight, in vain remain these eyes.
His radiance softened my roughness away,
Helpless in their watchful pain remain these eyes.
Truth is no healer holds a cure to impart,
Afflicted with the illness of heart remain these eyes.
I cannot accept that another may see,
Slayers of grief and disgrace remain these eyes.
“Bhav” still stands humbled in the endless queue,
Whether love’s confession or death remain these eyes.

The draft dips downward, limbs swaying in the wind;
fearless butterfly hovers over a branch.
Listening too late, one strong gust of wind
propels her towards an overhanging tree.
She grabs hold; hunching under leaves; she waits it out.
What a story she'll have for her kiddoes tonight.
Audacious bee is busily engaged
stockpiling nectar from nearby tulip blooms.
He hears the wind's howl and crawls quickly to safety
deep inside a budding tulip blossom's petals.
"Wind's too strong to risk flying back to the hive;
I might land in Timbuktu or the Sahara."
Hard-working ants set out on their quest early;
word has it that there's treasure on Ridge Rd.
Hauling crumbs twice his size, along the dusty path,
Andy has made three trips already by noon.
Wearily, he trudges along with his last load
and gets wind of a blast coming his way.
Dropping cargo, he crawls to a crack just in time.

Only be distal enough from crowded stay
The fresh and sweet of the air can be tasted
And the chirping of birds be appreciated
Also, the dancing butterflies be exquisite
Which of the untouched are full of charms
Such as imagined fairies shown in murals
In the corner of this, being ignored by them
No humans hustle and bustle traced at all
By this point, I've seen the sky was so azure
And the breeze has ever been feeling pure
And the sea was so vibrant and so wide
When my heart could fly so quietly and high

Blue butterflies reflect in my eyes
But you say all you can see is blue skies.
Blue butterflies then ascend to real skies,
As I finally begin to truly realize...

they're flowing
without the wind,
catching my performance
way at my feet,
I don't wish here,
until the caterpillar
shall bring,
My transformation
will have to sing,
and the catch of
bees before they
sting
and finally
I shall breathe.
Not a demise
but a butterfly
and its
gorgeous wings....
Impresses
the choruses

For now she lie silent
The winds have all but ceased
The ending of relentless rain
Has birthed a song of spring
In her silent paradise
Protected within emerald boughs
A dream of pastel stirs
Within her silken gown
With images alive in flutter
Where sparks of growth ignite
This lovely fare virgin
Prepares her endless flight
With grace reaching beyond
Subtle hymns in soft sway
This beauty of flights kingdom
Escapes to make her way

an almost autumn
scene unfolds outside window....
purple flowers bloom
yellow butterflies flit fast
mexican petunias wave
occasionally birds
come into view and hummers....
brown rabbit nibbles plants
a break in the fence somewhere
small animals enter there
summer swiftly flies
soon cooler nights, drier air....
hummers migrate south
mexican petunias die
birds at feeders seen outside

In the meadow, a tragedy befell
a mother butterfly by a wishing well.
She'd wished for a son who could fly all crooked,
but a witch's curse prevailed, so wicked.
Her firstborn had the preposterous trait
of flying up and staying straight.
