What Is A Poem?

Poetry is a prolonged kiss from the kingfisher's lips.
The interpreted being of a hummingbird’s wings.

The things you do or the things you don’t.
The things you say and the things left unspoke.
The truth, the lies, the half-full hopes.

The light, the dark,
the near and far, almost there’s.

Euphemisms. Nights spent in alleys.
Alone, apart, together at heart.

The life, the aches, the losses
new beginnings, lovers, losers.

Regret.
Regret.
Regret.

Nature, art, destruction,
or the remnants of.

Winners,
haves and have-nots.

Have you ever danced or chanted naked around a bonfire?

That is a poem.

What is a poem?

You.

What a gift it’s been
to be alive at the same time as your pretty face.

Don't Let Anyone Walk Over You

Don't let anyone walk over you — neither yourself nor the world,
no matter how low you may ever fall,
don't let the kid you once were
be ashamed of you if he stood before you!

Life is not the dream you dreamed as a child,
it will trample you and spit right in your face,
if it pushes you in the wrong direction,
there is no right one — all are missed stations!

It's your life and you must show it your teeth,
don't just drive through it in neutral,
take responsibility, earn respect,
no one has ever, nor will ever, bow to an amateur!

If you fall to your knees, do not let your spirit break,
raise your head and look toward the stars,
become the master of your life, whatever it may be,
don't just stand aside while life is passing by!

Premium Member Fancy talker

I am a fancy talker
I could talk and make you feel good
Mind you I am not a motivational speaker
But can galvanize you into action

In both negative and positive ways
I could talk you into a world
That only exist in the imagination
I could talk and you feel your Situation change instantaneously

I could talk you into a decision
That you will regret all your life
I could also talk you smoothly into your breakthrough
Therefore eat with me armed with a long spoon
And be weary of me when I talk to you
And choose wisely so that you can live
I mean live life in abundance!

A HAIKU MATH QUARTET
           (Poetic Math)

                 1.

A Haiku math thought:
Cubing three will equal to
___________ plus _______.

                2.

Squaring six plus six,
And subtracting five plus five,
Equals _________________.

                3.

Divide one thousand
By one thousand, and you
Get ______ less than _____.

                 4.

Math can be easy,
But thinking is still required;
I think I am ___________

Let It In, Don't Let It Go

It’s not about letting it go.

It’s about letting it in.
Letting it sink deep.
Letting it move through you
without rushing it toward an exit.

It’s about being honest
with what you feel.
About giving your experiences
the reverence they deserve.

Some things ask for a moment.
Some things ask for years.

There is no shame
in holding what is unresolved.
There is only truth.

“Let it go”
has become the anthem of avoidance,
a performance of healing
by those not yet ready
to sit with their own depths.

We don’t have to play that game.

We let it in.
We let it through.
We let it stay
until it is finished speaking.

Until what it carries
naturally begins to change.

Because growth is not forced.
Transformation ripens.

We write our story
by living it fully,
not by abandoning chapters
before they’ve found their meaning.

You are not behind.
You are not stuck.

You are the sign
you have been waiting for

Still Hoping

Never go to ask someone
With sincere solidarity;
Fiery replies make us burn'
With serious frivolity.

None can help you, never will they;
This world's too complex;
Disgraced must be you to say,
If you do reflex.

These days depict more dire decay,
The more 'modern' we are;
We lose sense almost every day,
In the pursuit to be a star.

We all proceed, day by day,
To our final destination;
It becomes darker each day,
Until we become a constellation.

As we approach the final day,
We find ourselves undone;
"Che sera sera" rules every way;
We wait for the new sun.

I am non-denominational..innately creational, hardly sensational..

Inspired or whimsically?
With some votive
Intensity.'

Rowena

I keep the soft fire that guides me,
step by step through doubt and hope,
growing into the self I was born to live.

A Little Reminder

You aren’t
a burden,
you are
a blessing.

The World's Most Destructive Chemical Experiment

The feel of a touch,
the sound of a cry,
the joy of hello,
the sorrow of
goodbye.

We entangle, we combine
we fall apart -
but in the end,
we get up and
we try, try, try,

to form a connection
that doesn't end in absence.

It all ends
for those already absent.

Be present,
if not for others,
then for yourself.

Shooting Stars Are Exactly As You Are

Behind every person’s soul,
a universe quietly resides.
And I still find it strange
that despite that cosmic brilliance,
we circle back to fixate
on surface-level, fleeting things.
Things that could never touch
the depth of our own true radiance.

We never notice our own
beauty—isn’t that beautiful?

Pricelessness

Each day is priceless;
We can treasure memories
Of both weal and woe.

the parable

the ocean and the cellphone
the child hears only the ocean
the elder fool is without the hearing of the elder moon
ones tide returns
when one ends the foolishness

undoing the letters takes you forward
the writing is decisive victory over saddness

Hope

There is, there must be
Ample light at the end of
The tiring tunnel.
