(You didn’t really think I’d post a picture of my wrinkled face, did you?) HA

I see wrinkles here, there, and everywhere unimportant compared to whole person I've become

My wife and I were having this same conversation a few days ago. I don’t remember a time she has been more beautiful.

As soon as the wrinkles are in the surface of us, it's just the life process. The most important is trying to keep our soul as clean as possible. Beautiful kimo Sara. Loved it, as well as the dog's picture. Enjoy your Sundayxxxx

thank you, sweet Maria, for stopping by. I agree...wrinkles are just a surface addition. The soul is what determines one's beauty. I appreciate you enjoying my poem as well as the wrinkly dog. :-) Have a pleasant evening, Sara

Dear Sara, within the course of our existence, we encounter significant milestones that are intricately tied to our age and its accompanying traits. It is commonly accepted that true sagacity dawns upon us around the tender age of forty. Your exquisite piece of poetry effortlessly captures these poignant instances, wherein each battle-worn wrinkle symbolizes a distinct chapter in the narrative of enlightenment.

dearest Sotto...your words were wise and insightful. I agree...many milestones occur in one's life that are indicative of advancing 'age.' I love what you said, 'poignant instances, wherein each battle-worn wrinkle symbolizes a distinct chapter in the narrative of enlightenment.' My 100-year old grandmother was proud of her wrinkles. She inspired me. Thanks for your always eloquent words, have a good evening, Sara

Ah i was thinking of time and posted a time tanka too, see you and i are always cosmically connected on a deep poetic level. Hah, truly this is so soulful and so sincere, and theres nothing wrong with wrinkles too, as it shows how gracefully youve aged: like uv said unimportant compared to the person you’ve become today. You’ve delivered this in a very fun light hearted manner, and i always enjoy reading you… sending you light today and always

thanks, kind Ink, for stopping by. Perhaps we are cosmically connected...a wonderful thought :-) I appreciate you seeing the soulfulness in this tiny creation. Grateful you liked the little bit of humor thrown in...some call it comic relief. I'll check out your Tanka. I'm sure it's splendid.. Have a great Sunday, Sara

As I've said before, there's definitely a point where beauty magnifies. In the 40s it tricky because a part of self I knew in the mirror is being lost but beyond that there's soul beauty that comes through. I'm sure you have that x

I agree, the dog is a cuddler, despite his overabundance of wrinkles :-) My husband says I'm a good hugger. Does that count? smiles...thanks for your visit. Enjoy the remainder of your weekend, almost neighbor, Sara

ahh, Richard, that was a kind thing to say. I guess we all grow into beauty, get comfortable with our own skin even as it ages. Hope you're well. Have a pleasant evening, Sar
