Words before sleep

I'll be too tired to write Just aware of a far away hum Cars wheels, a plane, broken sound The way my body feels as I lay flat How rest calls me but other sounds drown it out There's a section of the night for me It'll nurse me better before morning Envelope me, if I let it The same sleep that swaddled me as a baby Peacefulness that no one can take away Heaviness tips into weightlessness A place forever mine to be gently soothed I'm aware of kind thoughts My friends very literally telling me they love me I'm so scared of tomorrow Maybe I only coped with today because I was tired Hopefully hopefully hopefully I drift to then again find my way

As soon as Ii lay down after I have had a chat to the Spirit in the Sky, I relive my most wild far fetched wish. I rarely get passed scene 2 before I am sound asleep and so I try again the next night and the next. One night I may stay awake long enough to know what happens and how it ends, but until then I get a good night's sleep. Love your poem D You are so very good at putting your thoughts into words. Love it.

. At least he didn't get up again and turn the TV on. The poem made welcome sense. I liked it. It may be a good read for tonight before bed. I'll try it.

Ahh I was in an empty room, so in control except for all the sounds outside and my own brain ticking over. I slept well despite frequently waking myself to wonder if I was sleeping, to which I confirmed to myself yes and went back to sleep.
