Winter Slumber rhymed so NFC

I keep to myself to restore my strength Revival by keeping people at arms length Find a cave, get swallowed by darkness Solitary soul without need to confess Discover reserves I didn't know were there Register thoughts and find time for prayer Recalibrate notion of self and existence Stop for a while instead of onward persistence Set sights on emergence, don't dwell in vain Comfort in another if boundaries maintain A retreat serves me well when times get tough I do hope when necessary I'll be strong enough

I agree...sometimes I have to be alone to restore my strength. I can sooo relate to your words. Hubby says I'm an empath and, therefore, need quality alone time so I can effectively be myself and be helpful to others. Nicely done. hugs, Sara
