What We Were
I was your light
And you were my darkness
I transformed you from a demon
Into someone with purpose
I was able to hold your fiery heart
Even when it burned hotter than a furnace
You were my enemy
But I was your hope
You transformed me from a shadow
Into a star that now shines of gold
You were able to cure my need for revenge
Even even when my heart was stone cold
We were each other's conciousness
We challenged one another's decisions
But we were from different worlds
Sepereate divisons
We were from different sides
Opposite positions
We were both an unknown word
But each other's definitions
I observed you and You obserevd me
And we defied our expectations
I was fading away like a memory
Until you breathed me back into existence
Our eyes
Were like flint and steel
Once they made contact
Our hearts sparked and led
Into a flame of desire that ignited
Our mouth's
Were like tectonic plates
Once they opened and spoke
our words found each other
And they collided
We both
Are like the sun and moon
Unable to be together
Our prblems like night and day
Keeps us forever divided
