Dear Bill, you capture the spirit of the word "weathered", and the spirit of life and perseverance despite the ravages of time, succinctly and beautifully in your evocative Acrostic. I adore the word choice "enduring".. indeed we do endure! Warmest wishes my friend.. ~Susan

True, Kim, I was writing about people when I started it. :-) Many applications for something or someone worn out. Thanks for the observation and comments, my friend. Smiles ~ Blessings Bill

Dilapidated. It has a rolling sound. The only thing worse is condemned. As you can tell, my mind is racing with the thoughts in this poem.

That's a good thing Hilda, if it had a "C" in it that would work right in. Thanks for the comments, my friend. Smiles ~ Blessings as we prepare for the last month in 2023. Bill

A well written acrostic Bill, you captured the dilapidated house well, when I see buildings like that I wonder who lived there and where did they go. Tom

Now you're sounding just like my Sara, Tom. That's exactly the statement she always makes, and she doesn't let it go. LOL Great minds tend to think alike! Good for you two! Bill

Did you have a name change, Belle? Your picture looks like a friend of mine Belle. Smiles and Blessings Bill

you included the ideal picture to match your Accrostic. I especially like the word 'dilapidated.' A great choice. hugs from eastside writing bear.
