The attributes of water are diverse The creation of life was not its plan The lack of water would be a bad curse Devastating to every thirsty man Second to air on a list of mans’ needs Without water all humans would soon die What use would we have for the seeds Useless to man without rain from the sky There must be lessons from water to learn Nature is said to be a great teacher Water is one way to stop a fire’s burn It was created with one main feature When there is a need, there’s never enough And when there’s too much, things can get rough

I love your sonnets, dearest Bill. Your words gave me pause as I thought of the impact water has and our planet's need for it...humans, animals, nature, etc. It brought to mind that expression 'be strong like water'--indeed water is strong creating canyons, riverbeds, etc. Yet it is ironically soft. rambling, sorry. I enjoyed your poem, dear hubby. hugs from me, eastside writing bear :-)

When theres a need its never enough, and when there’s too much it gets rough Couldnt have said it any better bill. I love water, be it the sea, or drinking water or sound of rain too. But its human nature, too much of anything can be too much. I love the rhymes in this and the depth of your profound thoughts, so well articulated and delivered! Very insightful and moving! And beautiful picture to go with it too! Always a pleasure reading your work
