Keep hold of earth with roots so deep that today and in the decades to follow another human will not be destroyed wondering where in history we lost the voice of truth.

I wonder too where in history voice of truth is lost, in translation and in silence. When so much is going on around the world, and so many are just watching it all. Why is violence more powerful than peace sometimes, whilst so many are dying and are killed because of the gen0cide. my heart hurts for the children affected.

thanks for sharing and for asking those profound, seemingly rhetorical questions, Ink. I'm like you. I don't comprehend why violence is more powerful than peace and joy. Destroying human lives, especially children, is an abomination in my book. Anyway, I appreciate your visit. Wishing you a peaceful evening, hugs, Sara

My friend, this excellent collection of haikus provides a wide range of thoughts to study and reflect on. It contains a timely message since we live in a time where verity has been relegated to a substance, its depth, and purpose veiled by an appearance of shallowness.

Sotto--your comments were so powerful, indicative that you deeply read poems. I'm glad you appreciated the thought-provoking nature of my poem...and, yes, truth (verity) has been relegated and all but dismissed for what I believe is political and cultural shallowness. Thanks again for your kind words. Have a blessed evening, your poetess friend in Texas

Profound words Sara...carrying a timely message in an age when truth is becoming somewhat shallow and traded as a commodity.

thank you, Paul, for stopping by and for sharing your wise thoughts. I agree...truth is shallow and definitely traded as a commodity. Sad. Have a splendid weekend, Sara
