Up and At It
When you feel so tired that you can't rest
And so hungry that you can't eat
When weariness caresses your soul like a lover
And your very bones ache with wear
When pains are your closest pals
And sorrows make up your meals
When the longing becomes soothing
And the hunger becomes satisfying
When your tree is cut down ere it can overreach a lad
And your building is wrecked ere it is far risen from its pad
When sundry fears take hold of your heart
And your failures beset you about
Then, rouse your spirit
And say to yourself, Up and it
