To Ponder the Immortal Soul

What of the man that looks out through the windows of my eyes receiving light from God’s creation, and tightly bound in this aging body. He feels powerful enough to soar as an Eagle and one day he will be released to make his flight and join my new heavenly body and my spirit. So, I ponder the Soul spoken of some seven hundred times in the Bible as the soul as in Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living, Soul. I ponder about that breath of life. Was that the immortal Soul given to man and was it handed down through the generations with the birth of each new baby? It seems to be immortal. I don’t see that it makes man equal with God, an argument that I have heard for the angels are immortal and not equal with God. I ponder Matthew 10:28 And fear not them that kill the body but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him that is able to kill the body and soul in Hell. That sounds like the Soul is immortal enough to be able to go to hell and be destroyed but cannot be destroyed on earth. This is why I ponder as in the ways of one of no authority but as a searcher of the truth which is best found in the Bible and with thought and being willing to be wrong. I have no fear of being shunned in my church finding the truth. But the Trinity of the Body, Soul, and Spirit is of interest to me. I find the Soul is very intriguing as is the Spirit and did Adam lose the Spirit when he sinned? I opine that we receive the Spirit when we are saved. We seem to be born with a body and a soul. These things I ponder on, but it is best for all to read the Bible and search the word of God. I only write my thoughts as to ponder on the subject. The Bible says that it takes blood to atone the soul of sin again the soul seems immortal. The Soul lives in Heaven or suffers in Hell. I have faith that the creative Trinity will keep the promise of another life through the Death, Burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and will transcend all boundaries and allow my soul to soar in heavenly places beyond the Rubicon.
