My paternal grandmother, Myrtle Etgen, was the inspiration for this Haiku.

Every morning she woke at 5 a.m. and dressed with skirt, blouse, and hose. She

never left her house without putting on her earrings and jewelry. She died two months shy of her 100th birthday. She embodied grace up until the day of her passing.

wrinkles and gray hair aging bones creak and crackle wisdom in her eyes

I'm another "belated" admirer :) Thank you for also bringing back memories of my paternal grandmother, Florence, who maintained the same bearing until she passed away just shy of her 101st birthday. A Fave for me. Your haiku is exceptional. Couple that with the beautiful descriptive paragraph above it and you'd have an excellent haibun.
