Thoughts On Change
Thoughts of the past, pounding at my mind’s door,
The thoughts keep on pounding, my mind says no more!
With thoughts of the future, now entering my head,
Both heart and mind choose future thoughts instead.
Change always seems so challenging, although it is quite natural,
The saying that we can’t stop change, certainly seems factual.
Instead of moving own with life, smiles upon our faces,
We conjure up strange obstacles and put them in their places.
Instead of thinking negative, and all that contemplation,
Weighting every option and checking each inter-relation.
Decide to get yourself moving, take a step, get off the fence,
By moving forward steadily with strong faith and confidence.
The other choice, invite past thoughts in and in the corner cower,
For without change life seeps away, as a dying or wilting flower.
