The way words are put together

Perhaps it's poetry and I read it, hear it beautiful as it is, I seek out pieces of a person words that wait for me because we all revolve and spin maybe never catching the teeth of the cog that will make us tick if we click, I'm still able to rotate in time proceed with certainty and purpose I want the inner workings to be my world smooth and balanced no jarred movement or brokenness the way words are put together sees me spin those teeth can also tear me apart

Your words are a microcosm of the world itself Dilly, it’s fair to say most want a smooth and balanced life, (with some excitement of course) just like in our poems, but the reality of the world is, it can and does tear us apart, and filters down into our poetry, were it consumes us again, wonderfully penned piece, with real meaning, cheers David

Thank you David, my previous clockwork poem remained in my mind. Fitting in and being assembled correctly are interesting concepts as is what disrupts. Thank you for your comment, I love to receive your take as you know.

I always like your introspective poems, always philosophical and signs of wisdom... interesting choice of word 'teeth' in your last stanza.. lots to ponder on this one..

Thanks S1, I'd been chatting about original word choices so thought I'd take a chance. I quite liked the idea of teeth being a positive or a negative. Thanks for the comment, appreciate you stopping by
