The True Image
The truth of my image and reflection
So many witnesses to question
Mirror after mirror available to gaze upon
But the conclusion never foregone
Some days I do not care
I know peace does not lie there
Other days I worry that my face
Has changed at too fast a pace
But memory fades as wrinkles age
Most won't view my face and gauge
That beauty was my sole worth
And lack of it repeals my space on Earth
Drawing in with exterior allure
In all honesty could never endure
So now I must examine the who
That I always was but never knew
