The Postman

The postman brings the mail through rain and snow and hail. What an example of reliance – his arrival’s certain as a science! With care and pride and scrutiny he sorts the mail responsibly: Name and address must agree with the box of each addressee. Every piece he carefully inserts where it belongs, lest it reverts. My one complaint is that he fills my box with far too many bills.

Yes, Ilene, my mail box is usually packed with rubbish (ads and local newspapers I don't read) and bills. All the world news I read comes from my computer and even then I screen it before I strain my eyesight. Many thanks for stopping by / Maurice

Laugh or not I find the junk they stuff in my mailbox a nuisance! Sometimes my bills are placed inside newspapers which I throw away not knowing a bill was hidden there! Thanks for reading my poem. / Maurice
