Fantastical and full of whimsy. I don't think I'll ever outgrow children's stories because like this piece here, they're so very magical and enchanting. 'Ye have no pot o' gold'. I disagree ;)

Had I known this was entered in the fairy tale contest when I first read it I would have predicted a first place finish and could now take credit for my impeccable foresight. As it is, hindsight is 20/20. Congrats again on this work of art

Such a lovely tale...one who seeks!!! Indeed a children's book would be lovely!! A tale of cunning and wit as in days of old. So...do you have an artist already to illustrate??;) I know one...;) Big Hugggs!! Deb

This should be taken down and published proper (once you've finished) with illustrations and accompanying CD. It's, for lack of a better word, awesome. Great story. I was imagining Bilbo telling it to Frodo over a pint.

Haha, I believe I may have imbibed before orating. Your comment is what any writer would wish for, and I thank you. Yes, it would be a fun challenge to turn this short into a children's book
