The King And I
Through the PORTAL of historic enterprise,
Which by electronic means I NAVIGATE,
Since, like so many others, I PATRONISE
Search engines that are most accurate,
I hope to satisfy my FIXATION
With solidly TANGIBLE evidence
Of the INTRIGUE of that cruel elimination,
A deed historically immense,
The murder of "the princes in the tower,"
Supposedly by their uncle, Richard III,
In a dastardly bid for royal power,
Thus, apparently, the tragedy occurred.
We are all familiar with the gruesome tale,
Those pretty boys, synonymous with innocence,
Trapped within their starkly gloomy gaol,
An unhappy little pair without defence,
But following "the king in the car park" discovery,
History has been somewhat revised,
"Crookback Dick" has made a swift recovery,
So that, far from being despised,
In the aftermath of the car park REVELATION,
It is now thought that poor Richard's crooked spine
Need not give him a sinister reputation,
And I have to agree, since so is mine:
In my SPONTANEOUS opinion, Dick's just fine!
