the emerald queen and her basement tapes IV

no logo i wear no logo i don't use starch when i wash my collar i only pop my collar my graphic tee's were painted by me. i refrain from using india ink to colour my hues on my perfectly shined shoes my silk shirts were made by the vomit of worms and the small hands of those who haven't learned that unions pay dues so i feel a bit guilty these days my thoughts turn granular, gritty and grave. i should power up head to a rave i aint finished with the blame i got plenty bricks to lay you could gather around, hear what i say i wont eat your tomato soup sold at the bay cooked in any internment camp for people who don't obey i cant stomach the thought that the prisoners of rikers island are making my stylin leather purse so gear up, grab a hears youre gonna need it if you refuse the dress code in here you're all looking a bit dodgy and lame i better start acting the same quick hand me the tv remote i want to talk into it and ask it the meaning of life it would flash marie kondo or maybe a movie with marlon brando i just hope it plays something i can stand though nothing makes me laugh nothing makes me cry everything's just run a little dry a by product of buying products a proxy of indoctrination a cult of purchase power it's time for happy hour do you want it with an olive or a cherry this glass of disapproval swallow it down never speak of how you just want to be found because you've lost yourself in the names of the elite that adorn your neck like a mason stone you've come to regret buyers remorse bet on the wrong horse it's name was cashmere in a sweater but you had thought better as it cycled around your dryer looking for your own personal hero one who could carry the torch for all her life just running around curing your strife but i wear no logo i am not able to be labeled by your wishes or your demands i am not an app at your fingers command i am not bought or sold on bay street i was woke from the moment i watched sesame street i know the world is one built on the acquisition of wealth the procurement of things the objectification of human beings the matrix always looked black and green i wore clothes that matched cybernetic uniforms for a child of gigabytes and mainframes a lack of algorithms plagues your cranium you don't think very much you never could fathom you're the wrong frequency a delta wave in the time of alpha majority you forgot the instructions for living on earth don't pollute it and treat it like it has some worth
